I’m proud of many things that I managed to do though. I’d say it’s made me stronger.
I’m not living in silence any longer. I’m standing up for myself, and for other survivors too.
Having survived it makes me feel proud, proud that we’ve come out the other end.
There’s justice in others officially knowing what happened to me. I owed it to myself to record it.
We stand together and we make sure that we try. The laws have to change. They do.
Throughout my experience, I’ve had to be proactive at every point to get any reaction.
We are just ordinary, working class people who found ourselves in an extraordinary system.
